Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek – A Journey to the Heart of the Himalayas
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of Nepal’s most popular and breathtaking trekking experiences, combining natural beauty, cultural richness, and a sense of adventure. This incredible journey takes you through ancient villages, lush forests, and rugged trails, all leading to the foot of the world’s 10th highest mountain—Annapurna I (8,091m). Located at an altitude of 4,130 meters, the base camp offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the Annapurna Himalayan range that will truly take your breath away.
Cultural & City Exploration
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where our representative will greet you and escort you to your hotel in Thamel, the vibrant heart of the city.
The next day features a guided city tour to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Bhaktapur Durbar Square – A living museum of medieval art and architecture, built by the Malla kings. Boudhanath Stupa – A spiritual hub for Tibetan Buddhism and one of the largest stupas in the world. Pashupatinath Temple – A sacred site for Hindus, dedicated to Lord Shiva, rich in spirituality and tradition. Into the Mountains On day three, we travel to Pokhara, the serene lakeside city nestled beneath the Annapurna range. From here, a short drive to Nayapul marks the starting point of your trek. The journey begins with a climb to Ulleri and then continues to Ghorepani, a beautiful village surrounded by rhododendron forests.
The next morning, hike up to Poon Hill (3,210m) to witness one of the most spectacular sunrises over the snowcapped peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. This viewpoint is famous for its golden morning glow and breathtaking mountain panoramas.
Journey to the Base Camp The trail then takes you to Tadapani, Chhomrong, and Dovan, through steep hills and lush forests. From Deurali, you get your first glimpse of Gangapurna and the base of the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain). Continue your journey through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, finally reaching the Annapurna Base Camp—surrounded by towering peaks on all sides, offering an awe-inspiring 360° Himalayan view.
The Return Journey
Descending from the base camp, you’ll trek to Bamboo Village, nestled in a bamboo forest, then continue to Jhinu Danda, a charming village famous for its natural hot springs—a perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate your muscles. From here, return to Pokhara by vehicle and enjoy a peaceful evening walk along Lakeside Pokhara, surrounded by cafes, shops, and serene views of Phewa Lake.
Farewell in Kathmandu
The next day, a scenic 25-minute flight takes you back to Kathmandu. On your final evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with our team, celebrating the memories and friendships built during your journey.
