Trip Overview

Lapchi, also known as Lapchi Kang, is a secluded and spiritually important Himalayan region located in northeastern Nepal, close to the Nepal–Tibet border. It is revered as a sacred pilgrimage destination by both Tibetan Buddhists and Hindus and is closely linked to the legendary yogi Milarepa, who is believed to have spent years meditating in the caves scattered throughout this valley.

Encircled by towering snow-covered peaks, ancient glaciers, and steep, silent valleys, Lapchi is regarded in Tibetan Buddhism as a Beyul, or hidden sacred land—places believed to possess strong spiritual energy and natural protection. The region sits beneath Lapchi Kang (7,367 meters) and has remained largely untouched due to its remoteness and challenging terrain.

In modern times, Lapchi draws pilgrims, adventurous trekkers, and spiritual seekers who are searching for profound religious meaning, solitude, and untamed Himalayan landscapes rather than luxury or popular trekking routes.
